Not quite. Most “1-hour crowns” are made from porcelain or mixed ceramic materials. These are quicker to work with but not as strong, and they can wear down or chip more easily over time.

Our crowns are made from solid zirconia—an incredibly strong and durable material. So not only do you get your crown the same day, but it’s built to last much longer.

Another big benefit? Zirconia crowns let us remove less of your natural tooth during the process. While other types of crowns usually need about 1 to 1.5 millimeters of your tooth trimmed away, zirconia crowns often need only about 0.5 to 1 millimeter. That means we can save more of your original tooth, which is always better for your long-term dental health.
